We're introducing some changes to the Bleeper app from the 4th of August 2026. These changes mainly affect the operating area and where you can find a place to park a Bleeper bike. Please continue reading to find out more.
Introducing: Parking Pins
We're making parking easier for Bleeper users. Instead of Parking Zones, you'll now see Parking Pins on the map. These pins indicate the locations of public cycle racks where you can park a Bleeper bike.

To successfully end your journey, locate a Parking Pin on the Bleeper map. Parking Pins identify designated public cycle rack locations where you can safely secure the bike.
Once the bike has been securely locked to a designated cycle rack (i.e. at a Parking Pin) you will be able to end your journey.
Please note that if you are not physically located close to a Parking Pin, you will not be able to end your trip in the Bleeper app.
No-Entry Zones
We are creating new No-Entry Zones which designate areas where Bleeper bikes are not permitted. These zones are mainly located around the outskirts of our operating area. If you end a Bleeper trip inside a No-Entry Zone you may receive a fine, and if you enter a No-Entry Zone on a Bleeper e-bike, the e-bike will automatically slow down and lock itself.

No-Entry Zone - Tier 1
This is the first level of No-Entry Zone. You cannot end a Bleeper trip within this zone, but you will be able to temporarily Pause a trip if you need to.
If you enter this No-Entry Zone on a Bleeper e-bike, the following will happen:
The e-bike's speed will be limited to 10 km/h.
If the e-bike remains stationary for 5 minutes, it will automatically lock.
The bike can be paused and unlocked, allowing you to relocate to a designated Parking Pin and successfully end your journey.
You will also hear the following warning repeated every 60 seconds:
"Warning. Warning. You are approaching a No-Entry Zone. Please turn back now."
An in-app notification will display for pedal bike users.
No-Entry Zone - Tier 2
This is the highest level of No-Entry Zone. It is not permitted to bring a Bleeper bike into this zone, and you will not be able to Pause or End a Bleeper trip here. If you enter a Tier 2 No-Entry Zone on a Bleeper bike, you will receive a fine.
If you enter a Tier 2 No-Entry Zone on a Bleeper e-bike, the following will happen:
The e-bike continues to be limited to 10kph.
If you stop, the e-bike will automatically lock within 60 seconds and cannot be unlocked. Customer Care must be contacted to end the journey.
You will also hear the following warning repeated every 60 seconds:
"Warning. Warning. You are outside the Service Area. The vehicle is about to lock."
A warning image (below) will also be displayed on the bike's screen:
